What is cyclops Audio?
A shop run by yours truly (Phil Drogheo) where I rack and refurbish vintage & boutique gear for the modern studio.
Currently located in the Detroit Area, all machining and electronics are done by hand, in-house.
His wife works as a professional artist and does all decals & lettering on the units.
Are all your units custom order?
All units are currently built-to-order with custom options available. I’m always open to ideas – the sky’s the limit.
If they are built from vintage, how can they work as new?
All vintage units are fully re-capped and freshly restored - switches cleaned, boards freshened, etc. The goal is always to capture the original vintage sound with modern reliability.
Are these all done by hand?
All units are built by hand. Enclosures are machined in-house with lettering and permanent decals hand painted by a professional artist. Custom decals are always available upon request.
What is the build time?
Build times vary but typically go from 3-6 weeks depending on the specific model and custom options requested.
I have some channels or modules that need racking. Can you do it?
I take rack jobs on a case-by-case basis. Naturally, I can rack your PM1000 channels and modules. I also have experience with other vintage Yamaha stuff, LOMO, Siemens/Tab/Tele, API, RCA and some other vintage gear as well. If you have a request for a rack job, please reach out for a quote.
Where do you ship?
Shipping is included in my direct price for all Continental U.S. clients. I can ship anywhere outside of the U.S. at the client’s expense.
Is there a warranty on your work?
All Cyclops Audio builds are backed with a full service guarantee.
Do you have any audio demos?
Of Course! The YouTube page is dedicated mostly to audio clips of Cyclops Audio gear. More demos are being added as time goes on, so be sure to subscribe.
